Happy Easter!!

Our church had their Annual Easter Egg Hunt today. Maddy had a lot of fun from petting the baby animals to hunting for eggs to eating candy & visiting with friends. She was also blessed to win a big stuffed lamb in their doorprize drawing.

Friday of Reflection

Every Good Friday I am amazed at the love that Christ had for us. As I read the story of His crucifixion year after year I never get tired of the story. One of my absolute favorite accounts is in Luke 23. It talks about the thieves that hung on either side of Him & one mocked while the other was humbled. The humble thief asked Jesus to remember him when His kingdom came & Jesus replied "Surely you will be with me in paradise today." The song by Third Day called Thief is based on this passage in Luke 23:39-43, I cry every time I hear this song. I found a You Tube video someone made with this song below.

Baby Farm Animals

Today we visited the MN Zoo's Baby Farm Animal exhibit @ their farm. It was a beautiful day for the zoo & being outside. Maddy loved seeing the baby bunnies, chicks, pigs, cows & sheep.

Hangin' out with Bri

Last week we met up with one of Maddy's travel group sisters, Bri. We have a mutual connection through the family that will be in our next adoption travel group so we met up for dinner at their house. Maddy & Bri had a fun time together & got along pretty well. Sometimes Maddy has been a little possessive of toys, etc but this time (maybe having no toys helped) they had a good time playing ring around the rosy & getting horsey rides from us.
