Happy Birthday....

To me! Yes, today is my birthday with spring storm in Minnesota. We are expecting a total of 8 inches when it's all said & done. Matt & I went out for my birthday on Saturday, it was nice to have a couple hours with just the 2 of us.

Happy Easter

Hope you had a wonderful Easter, we did. It was a busy day today starting early. We went to church with my Mom in Wisconsin & then brunch with my family. After that we headed south to Diamond Bluff to celebrate Easter with Matt's family.

Maddy did pretty weel today & actually would allow Matt & I out of her sight every once in a while. She even let someof the extended family hold her, which is a big change from Christmas. It was great to see everyone today.

We had a fun time on Saturday at the South Metro Play Group's Easter Egg Hunt. Maddy found a few eggs (w/ a little help from Mom & Dad). It was fun to see her open the eggs & discover the contents of each egg.

Ok, so I am a little behind on this as Maddy is now officially 13 months old, but we had some very fun pictures taken of Maddy a couple of weeks back that turned out really nice. The white dress was her dedication dress & the red & black outfit came from Maddy's Uncle Adam & Auntie Erica. The photographer did a nice job of keeping the camera rolling to get some cute poses.

4 months ago today.....

Our daughter joined our family! It's hard to believe it's already been 4 months since that eventful day in Nanchang. We are so blessed & honored to have been chosen to parent this child of ours. Every night as I pray for her, I am so thankful. We have had some people tell us how 'lucky' she is to have us (which makes us uncomfortable), but we really are the ones who are lucky. I prefer to call it blessed, but anyway you slice it- we are so glad to have Maddy as part of our life.
